Ahoy dlabes,

I am simulating a lot these days, and am trying to reproduce Potvin's table 1.

For Potvin's method B I cannot, however, see the reason behind p252 bottom right where they show a calculation of s22.
Why not use something ähnlich to the formula for s12 but summed across all observations in in the entire dataset after inclusion of new subjects?

Pass or fail!
