 PK Data [General Statistics]

Hi,

Please throw some light on data entry, data format, pharmacokinetic and statistical analysis for urine concentration pharmacokinetic data.

Is the analysis for urine concentration PK data different from plasma/serum concentration PK data?

Venu

 PK Data

Hi Venu,

To do urine concentration pharmacokinetic data, you should use cumulative urinary excretion data. You can find a good example in the book- Pharmacokinetics by Milo Gibaldi, Marcel Dekker is the publisher (see appendix which is dedicated for such calculation explanations in the book)

Yes it is different to the pharmacokinetics analysis using urinary data.

 Urinary PK Data

Dear Dr. Shiv!

Yes, perfectly right.
I would just add a big caveat: it's necessary to apply the midtime-point - rather than the end of the sampling interval as the independent variable.

 Urinary PK Data

Dear Jaime,

Thank you for incorporating this info. Now its complete and mid point method is more accurate.
