 Method A of EMA [Software]

Hi All!
I was trying to calculate 90% CI using excel and found difference with the reported values.
I am using below formula for getting margin of error.
Margin of error=CONFIDENCE.T(ALPHA, STD_DEV,SIZE)

Where ALPHA=1-%CI=0.1
Is this the correct approach?
Thank you,
Divyen

 ABEL: Why Excel?

Hi Divyen,

❝ I was trying to calculate 90% CI using excel...

Sorry, no idea about Excel but out of sheer curiosity: Why do you want to use it? It is not acceptable1 for the EMA:

Alternative computer programs
SAS […] was used […]. Results obtained by alternative, validated statistical programs are also acceptable except spreadsheets because outputs of spreadsheets are not suitable for secondary assessment.

 ABEL: Why Excel?

Thank you Helmut!

There is licensing issue going on, so was exploring Exel.

I will try R and may trouble forum member with other questions :lookaround:

Thanks,
Divyen
