Intrasubject coefficient of variation [Power / Sample Size]

Hello,
Please I have a question regarding the within subject coefficient of variation. Is it dose dependent? Can I take a coefficient of variation from a study done on a 500mg dosage and use it to calculate the number of subjects in a trial that will be done on a 1000mg dosage. Thank you in advance.

 Dose-dependent CV?

Hi Imph,

❝ […] within subject coefficient of variation. Is it dose dependent?

If you have linear PK, generally yes. Otherwise, not necessarily.

❝ Can I take a coefficient of variation from a study done on a 500mg dosage and use it to calculate the number of subjects in a trial that will be done on a 1000mg dosage.

See above.
