Big Pharma strikes back with data secrecy [Off Topic]

Hi all,

Some EMA news

If the Court of Justice upholds the view that CSRs [clinical study reports] should benefit from a general presumption of confidentiality, it would change the rules of the game. Sadly, such a move could easily take us back to a situation where disclosure of clinical trial data is the exception, instead of being the norm.

See here

Kind regards,
Mittyri

Hi mittyri.

» If [...] general presumption of confidentiality, it would change the rules of the game.

Ah, well. Thinking back, how long it took to get to this point, and that there already was a lot of populism and lobbyism (from al sides, including the "patients") I am not concerned that there will be a rapid change back.

Sorry, but this is behind a pay-wall? Only 5 first lines available? Is it possible to see that elsewhere?

Best regards,
Relaxation.

Helllmut, Elsevier will launch its death star to wipe Vienna from the map...

Isn't EMA clinical data release policy a joke anyway? Only place to go FDA etc. websites?

I’m ready. Navigate to https://bebac.at/ and inspect the source code.
Search for <meta name="ICBM"> in your preferred steam engine (Startpage, right?)…
