 conc in Plasma [Bioanalytics]

Dear all,

When bioavailability is defined as measurement of the extent to which a drug reaches the systemic circulation (blood).

Why do we measure the concentration in Plasma for most of the molecules.

 Plasma vs. blood

Have a look at this paper. Also this one, from the same authors. Both papers mainly deal with the use of dried blood spots, but they also discuss the relevance of blood vs. plasma.

producing some paltry result so that they can add to the flood
of inane papers that now constitutes “scientific progress”
