 Matrix effect Acceptance criteria [Bioanalytics]

Dear All,

I could not get any reference which states that the matrix factor should fall between 0.85 to 1.15 with %CV <15.

If this is the valid acceptance criteria then from where i can get the refernces for the same.

All members are also requested to share your understading on the same to make me more clear.

 Matrix effect Acceptance criteria

Dear Auditor,

I'm not aware of any reference stating it should be between 0.85 and 1.15. The main important thing with matrix effects is not absolute matrix effects (you may have 50 % ion suppression but still be able to analyse your samples correctly) but rather relative matrix effects (you can have matrix effects, as long as they do not vary from plasma lot to plasma lot).

CV < 15 % comes from the White paper of the Crystal City III meeting.
