 Balanced Design [Design Issues]

Dear Helmut,

Generally we are considering study design as open label, balanced, randomized, two sequence, two period, two treatment, single dose crossover study.

Is it necessary to keep "balanced" in the study design because we are considering unequal sequences also for statistical analysis.

Edit. Subject line changed. [Helmut]

You should plan for a balanced design. If the study becomes imbalanced due to drop-outs, the statistical analysis will account for that (adjusted means instead of geometric means, or in SAS' terminology: least squares means).

 Balanced Design

Dear Priyanka

Study should be design 'Balanced'. If due to droupout or withdrawal it is not balanced no issue at all.
