Dear navoday If you look at the ICH HARMONISED TRIPARTITE GUIDELINE FOR GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICE E6(R1) paragraph 3. INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD/INDEPENDENT ETHICS COMMITTEE (IRB/IEC) you will recognize that there should be no essential difference as long as the Independent Ethics Committee [IEC(Ind] acts according to the GCP Guideline.
