 IEC [Regulatives / Guidelines]

Hello Dear All,

can anyone please suggest me what is the core difference between Institutional Ethics Committee [IEC] and Independent Ethics Committee [IEC(Ind]? detail descreption is highly appreciable. :-)

If you look at the ICH HARMONISED TRIPARTITE GUIDELINE FOR GOOD CLINICAL PRACTICE E6(R1) paragraph 3. INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD/INDEPENDENT ETHICS COMMITTEE (IRB/IEC) you will recognize that there should be no essential difference as long as the Independent Ethics Committee [IEC(Ind] acts according to the GCP Guideline.
