DCGI or DGFT permission for Importing of Plasma samples [Regulatives / Guidelines]

Hi,

This is Amit from Sitec Labs.
We are conducting BA/ BE studies for many of regulatory bodies in India. Till date we have not import any plasma sample for analysis. But now we have to do that. For this whether we required import liscence from DCGI or DGFT. Some of told us that it is not needed if the quantity is less than 700 ml but some told us that it is required. Could you help out in this case.

Regards

Amit

DCGI or DGFT permission for Importing of Plasma samples

Hi Amit
I think it will require as it is required for the Export of Plasma sample, so it will required for import also :-). You will get it from DGFT and not the DCGI.

Bharat

DCGI or DGFT permission for Importing of Plasma samples

Hello Ravi,
please click on the below link
http://www.icmr.nic.in/ihd/ihd.htm
There are two forms to be submitted to ICMR. ICMR will issue certificate which can be submitted to customs. Please note that the forms indicate the the regulation is for import of hazardous biological samples but irrespective of the sample is hazardous or non hazardous you should apply and get approval from ICMR

Best Regards
