Dear BEAR inventor, Today, I just installed the new version of BEAR 2.5.2 on R 2.11.0 as suggested. Installation was fine. But when I loaded BEAR, the message below appear before BEAR menu. ........................ Loading required package: gdata gdata: Unable to locate valid perl interpreter gdata: gdata: read.xls() will be unable to read Excel XLS and XLSX files unless the 'perl=' argument is gdata: used to specify the location of a valid perl intrpreter. gdata: gdata: (To avoid display of this message in the future, please ensure perl is installed and gdata: available on the executable search path.) gdata: Unable to load perl libaries needed by read.xls() gdata: to support 'XLX' (Excel 97-2004) files. gdata: Unable to load perl libaries needed by read.xls() gdata: to support 'XLSX' (Excel 2007+) files. gdata: Run the function 'installXLSXsupport()' gdata: to automatically download and install the perl gdata: libaries needed to support Excel XLS and XLSX formats. ................................................................ I don't know whether or not this will cause any errors or incorrect analysis. It seems to me, BEAR run well. But I just worry about these error message. Could you tell me about these errors? or I just ignore it. Many Thanks Sarawut Edit: Category changed. [Helmut] |
