Least Square mean / Geometric mean [General Statistics]

What is the difference between Least Square mean and Geometric mean ?

Which mean is used in the calculation of 90% Confidence Interval of Ln Transformed Data?

Least Square mean / Geometric mean

Hi Mike,

the calculation of LSMeans is extensively described on SAS online help, the geometric mean in almost any statistical text book. Thus, you can figure it out by yourself. However, basically, the LSMean accounts for different group sizes and produces different results in such case compared with the simple mean, while the geom. mean is just a method of averaging (such as harmonic mean as well).
