 Fieller's Theorem [General Statistics]

Dear All,

Let me know the what is Fieller's Theorem and why it was used in BA/BE studies. At what reason we can apply this theorem. Also give me the details of this and study meterial also.

Thanks in advance,

Reagrd,

 Fieller's Theorem

Dear Pandu,

Dieter Hauschke sent me a personal e-mail, which I quote below:

This theorem is used for calculation of confidence intervals for a ratio of expected means while assuming a normal distribution.

For concentration-related characteristics, a lognormal distribution is assumed in BA/BE studies. Hence, there is no need to apply Fieller's Theorem.

Please note that the application of this theorem in clinical trials is fully described in:
Hauschke D, Steinijans VW, Pigeot I
Bioequivalence: Methods and Applications, Statistics in Practice
John Wiley, Chichester (2007)

Kind regards
Dieter
