Change of Principal Investigator [Study Performance]

Dear All,
Can I have your views, regarding the following situation:

In BABE studies, if due to some personal reasons, PI is unavailable for Period 01 and he has authorized the co-investigator of the study to carry out all his duties in his absence. Does it necessary that period 02 duties also need to be taken care by the co-investigator, although the PI is present for the study.

 Change of Principal Investigator

Dear Varsha,

No, the delegation is generally for full study. If P1 was handled by Co-investigator (in the absence of PI), it is not necessarily required that P2 of the same should be handled by the Co-investigator. If PI is available, then Period 2 might be handled by PI or Co-investigator.
