Calculating calories for meals [Study Performance]

Hi,

In preparing a meal menu, do we consider the weight and protein-Carbohydrate-fat content as per the raw weight of the item or after it is cooked?
For e.g. if we say Rice 150 g and respectively the protein carbohydrate-fat content - does it mean the weight of raw rice or cooked rice?

Also, before serving to the subjects in a BA/BE study, we weigh the individual items in a Meal Menu and then document the average weight of each item. Can we correlate this with the weight given in Meal Menu?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
While preparing a menu you have to consider raw weight only and then total raw material (single serving X no of subjects) needs to be cooked. Finally cooked food has to be measured and total quantity should be devided by the total no of subject.
