Is it necessary to validate the software (WinNonlin) when we reinstall same version on same operating system?

Plz let me know.

 WinNonlin (Re-)Validation

Dear Raveendra,

out of curiosity: how did you validate WinNonlin in the first place?

 WinNonlin (Re-)Validation

Dear Helmut,

At first time the software engineers (WinNonlin consultants) had done the validation. Now we are getting some error in the table wizard option (WinNonlin). Suppose if we reinstall the software, validation is necessary or not.

Please let me know.

 WinNonlin (Re-)Validation

Dear Raveendra,
I would also ask what the error was and how did you resolve it.

For instance if the problem was caused by a software conflict with another application then how will you be sure that when you re-install WinNonlin it will be into EXACTLY the same environment ?

Some organisations manage this with the IT group rolling out an 'image' that is fairly locked down to the users to stop them adding other software. I assume you've contacted Pharsight support on this - if not I would also ask there advice to ensure you're covering all possibilities.

Regarding re-validation the current version is 5.2.1 and next month (May), I expect you will see Phoenix WinNonlin 6.0 released so if you are intending to revalidate then it's worth knowing about this completely re-written version that might require a bit more planning as it looks and operates differently (but of course gives the same results!) I believe those users with the Validation kit will receive that upgrade about a month after.

Best regards,
Simon

PS Were the WinNonlin consultants from Pharsight or some third party?
