 Single dose animal study [Software]

Dear All,
I have some data of a single dose animal study of an Sustained release drug product such that its Cmax is attained with in 2 to 3 days. At certain pt. of time (say 25 day) conc. is below therapeutic value. Now my question is, Is there any software by which we can use this single dose data to predict Multiple dose data or any literature in this regard.

With best regards,
Ravi

Thanks & Regards

 Single dose animal study

dear ravi !

on assumption of (a) linear pharmacoinetics and (b) that absorption and clearance are identical for each dose interval you can predict drug concentrations on multiple dosing using the principle of superposition (refer to appendix E of Gibaldi and Perrier reference) without assuming a specific pharmacokinetic model.

best regards

martin
