Hello folks, I'm creating my PK tables in Winnonlin however sometimes I need to create tables and descriptive statistics for some demographics, adverse events or clinical laboratory resutls, etc. I'd like to create a default tabulation and with small modifications I'd like to use it for different studies. I know many people are using SAS but SAS is an expensive solution and I don't have it. I have SPSS. Should I start learning it? Do you guys have other suggestions? Thank you, Regards |

Hi BRN, ❝ I know many people are using SAS but SAS is an expensive solution and I don't have it. I have SPSS. Should I start learning it? Do you guys have other suggestions? Someone is going to kill me for saying this, but in the absence of loads of $$$ I am leaning towards a simple solution based on a spreadsheet such as OpenOffice Calc or MS Excel. I am saying this because if you need to learn a language like SPSS from scratch that that process in itself is in my subjective opinion the source of more trouble than the trouble you can expect from a spreadsheet. Stories about spreadsheets calculating certain stuff wrongly or trasmitting gonorrhoea to the user etc are abundant here on this forum and elsewhere, and they are actually true but in effect to a large extent historical curiosities with little relevance to such simple tasks as calculating descriptive stats from common everyday data entries. — Pass or fail! Hi BRN, If you are using Phoenix WinNonlin for these tables then I imagine you will have noticed that all the steps you have done in an analysis are presented in s sort of flowchart. This can very simply be turned into a template workflow *.wnlt that you can use with other projects. If you can't create the sort of table you like please do ask for some tips as I find it pretty flexible, preferably on the Phoenix forum (www.pharsight.com/extranet ) although I do come here once in a while! ![]() If you are still using WNL 5.x or earlier I would suggest you take the free upgrade to Phoenix WinNonlin and get a lot more out of the software.
