 BIOINTERNATIONAL 2008 [Conferences / Workshops]

Thread locked
The BIOINTERNATIONAL 2008 Conference will be held from 22 to 24 October, 2008 at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, London, UK.

This year’s subtitle is
Towards improved harmonization in regulating multisource products (see the conference flyer).

Additional pre-satellite FIP workshop 20 to 21 October, 2008:
Special dosage forms – What’s new with in vitro drug release?

Bio-International 2008 aims to develop a common approach for tackling complex issues such as Bioequivalence / interchangeability of Cytotoxic Drug Products, Topical Drug Products and Respiratory Drug Products. The use of Comparator Drug Products for establishing Bioequivalence is a burning issue in the assessment of Multisource Drug Products quality and will be discussed along with application of Biopharmaceutics Classification System in assessing Bioequivalence of oral products. There will also be a special session highlighting BE issues in many countries and how these issues can be resolved with the experience gained with similar issues in other parts of the world. The format of Bio-International 2008 will include plenary presentations by leading international experts, panel discussions and questions from delegates for response by speakers.

Since 1989 the series of (almost) biennual Bio-International conferences is setting standards in the fields of Bioavailability/Bioequivalence/Dissolution/IVIVC.

Scientists often have a naïve faith that
if only they could discover enough facts about a problem,
these facts would somehow arrange themselves
in a compelling and true solution.    Theodosius Dobzhansky
