sample size, ISV and 90%CI [Power / Sample Size]

What is the relationship between No. of subjects and 90% confidence interval? What is the relationship between Intra-subject variability and 90% confidence interval?

 First hello!

Dear NVP!

What is the reason for not even saying ‘hello’? See also here and there. Some members of the forum (including myself) may consider your posting style as rude.

❝ What is the relationship between No. of subjects and 90% confidence interval?

For given point estimate (=test/reference ratio) and CV:

The higher the sample size, the tighter the CI.

❝ What is the relationship between Intra-subject variability and 90% confidence interval?

For given point estimate (=test/reference ratio) and sample size:

The higher the CV, the wider the CI.
