Here are the fit statistics for the 2 models:

Model 1
-2 Res Log Likelihood        24.0
AIC (smaller is better)      30.0
AICC (smaller is better)     30.5
BIC (smaller is better)      33.0


Model 2
-2 Res Log Likelihood        22.0
AIC (smaller is better)      32.0
AICC (smaller is better)     33.3
BIC (smaller is better)      37.0


Interestingly, the 1st model is a better fit.
