Dear Yung-jin Lee,

useR! <-- this is marvelous. I really like it very much.

Compensation for that is that I have 'The power to know'!!!
This is, on what grounds ever, seen as 'industrial standard' in the pharmaceutical industry I'm employed in.

❝ [...] Question is how we are going to set the maximum number of time points? How to define a reasonable number of points?

Let us take our example 4.
My suggested algorithm is: Take all the points from TTT to last as maximum number to use, i.e. from t=3 to 24 h (points 8-12). Within that range apply the maximum adjR2 algorithm (or an other best fit).
For example 4 this would give the last 3 points.

In that example the result coincides with the adjR2 method using all points after Cmax. For other curves it must not be.

The combination of TTT with a best fit method avoids the choosing of to many points, a common flaw seen with the adjR2 method (see our thread here on TTT).
Further on it restricts the computation time of the best fit method (adjR2 or whatever) if this is not implemented in a serial way.

Regards,

Detlew
