I don’t know which version of WinNonlin you are using, but I could reproduce your results of Ex.04 in the current version v5.2.1. This is contradictory to the manual and the online help.
Now for the weird part. I tried the dataset also in WinNonlin v6 beta Phoenix and got:

As you can see only the last three data points were picked, although according to the manual the algorithm should be the same as in previous versions. :confused:
For both cases we should consider contacting Pharsight’s support to clarify the issue.
