Dear All,

I have a few questions regarding sparse sampling designs and SE AUC estimation that I hope you can help clarify.

The help page for the `auc` function in the PK R package states:
"The AUC (from 0 to the last time point) is calculated using the linear trapezoidal rule on the arithmetic means at the different time points."
I suppose SE is calculated taking it into account.
  1. What adjustments, if any, are needed if geometric means are used instead of arithmetic means? Should the workflow for estimating the SE of AUC be modified?
  2. How does the use of the linear-up/log-down method affect the estimation of SE for AUC? Would any changes to the workflow be required?
May be I missed some paper discussing it?

Kind regards,
Mittyri
