I have a few questions regarding sparse sampling designs and SE AUC estimation that I hope you can help clarify.
The help page for the `auc` function in the PK R package states:
"The AUC (from 0 to the last time point) is calculated using the linear trapezoidal rule on the arithmetic means at the different time points."
I suppose SE is calculated taking it into account.
I have a few questions regarding sparse sampling designs and SE AUC estimation that I hope you can help clarify.

- What adjustments, if any, are needed if geometric means are used instead of arithmetic means? Should the workflow for estimating the SE of AUC be modified?
- How does the use of the linear-up/log-down method affect the estimation of SE for AUC? Would any changes to the workflow be required?
