Sorry, no idea. The last time I coded in VB is 20+ years ago. Good luck in rolling out your own code.
At least you can use the package replicateBE for cross-validation. Hint: The data sets in CSV-format are also available at GitHub. The ones of a TRTR|RTRT-design are DSXX.csv, where XX = 01, 06, 08, 09, 12–15, 18–21, 25, 26, and 29.
