Variability in PK from IM injection [PK / PD]

Hi John,

❝ I once heard that IM injection tends to yield higher variability in PK, is that true? Relative to IV.


I think that's true by some margin, usually.
One joker is that IM is not IM. Quite a few IM injections end up being SC in part or in whole.
