Hi Tarak,

❝ 1. can a person from other country nationality become EC member in India?

❝ 2. can a person with dual citizenship (Indian + any other country) become member in India?

❝ 3. can a person from 'X' nationality become EC member in 'Y' country?

❝ 4. is there any guidance by any country/regulatory?

Interesting questions. I don't think there are rules against it, at least, not in the basic overarching GCP guidances. There could be national laws that I don't know about. In India Ethics Committees sometimes receive high volumes of applications so they need to meet and vote very often; your man might be spending all his life traveling in this case unless someone can argue that she/he can attend (and document attendance) via a videolink. If you are just asking if a non-Indian national who lives in India can be a member then I am fairly sure the answer is yes but check if this person is a medical doctor and if her/his license is valid in India. Why not ask DCGI/CDSCO?

Pass or fail!
