Neither the current version (2006) nor the working document (2014) mention anything about retention of IMPs. WHO’s guidelines are intended to support regulators of countries which don’t have their own guide­lines in place. Hence, ask the local agency.
To be on the safe side I would keep at least as many to allow analysis of content and dissolution in all relevant media.
