To all potential new members!

Since September the Forum is facing a wave of fake registrations and attacks by skiddies. About ten new “users” (likely bots) registered daily without activating their accounts. 97% of them were well known spammers (user name, e-mail address, IP, or domain listed in e.g., APEWS, SORBS, BotScout, FSpamlist, Stop Forum Spam, Project Honey Pot, Abusive Hosts Blocking List, DroneBL, EFnetRBL, SpamCop, SpamHaus, Tornevall, UBL, or BlockList.de).

[image]Trend of rejected requests (HTTP 403; hits and % of total):
August         0
September  13966 (20.6%)
October    19329 (34.6%)
November  311547 (82.6%)

We are currently testing a solution (ZB Block) automatically preventing blacklisted spammers to register and login. If you are blocked and cannot register [image] contact us. If your ISP hosts spamming accounts (mainly domains from China, the US, Russia, and the Ukraine) we can whitelist you – but only if you have a static IP. For details see the Instructions.

Thank you for understanding.
