Dear all,

Dose dumping is ‘Unintended, rapid drug release in a short period of time of the entire amount or a significant fraction of the drug contained in a modified release dosage form’. In vitro methods of testing dose dumping exists for oral MR products.

For modified release products for local application and local use (after dermal, rectal, vaginal etc. administration) what are the recommended in vitro methods of testing dose dumping?

Thanks in advance for the kind response.
