Dear Santosh,

first you have to demonstrate that your method is selective enough to distinguish the analyte from natural sexual steroidal hormones. I would suggest to go for serum/plasma of females only (just 2% of testosterone than in males' serum/plasma) to avoid troubles. If your study will be performed in premenopausal women (which I would not suggest) mainly check for 17ß-estradiol and estriol, if you are aiming at postmenopausal women check for estrone and 17ß-estradiol.

Note: if seen studies using pooled male/female serum/plasma as well, but I would not recommend it.
