Dear Manu,

Due to the nature of a crossover design you need not to worry about present period effects. Regarding the multiplicity adjustment: Not sure, but if you want to go ahead with both test treatments later on, then I believe one should adjust for that. For example, the overall power (product of the two powers from both comparisons) should be 90%. (Side note: Although the third comparison is not of interest here, I wonder whether this one may affect our overall power ...)
