I have a question regarding partial validaiton of the method

Can anyone suggest me that, if the validaiton has two analytes(X & Y) and the study is done with single analyte(X), in this case, whether we have to establish partial validaiton/cross validation in absence of other analyte(Y)or not?

Where analyte (y) is metabolite

Your suggestion can help our system to avoid confusion.
