Dear Pash,

Could this be due to a stability issue ? How long did you store your samples before analysis, at which temperature, using which anticoagulant ? I just came across an old paper describing stability issues with 5-ASA at -20°C, at acidic pH values. They had no problem at -80°C.

Did you check the stability in whole blood too, before centrifugation ?
