Ethnic Differences in Stomach pH ? [Study Performance]

Dear all,
recently the question came up whether volunteers in India (state of Gujarat) could have different average pH in their intestinal tract than Europeans. An instant release product did show a considerably slower absorption there than expected from preceding studies elsewhere.
Does anyone of you know about studies on that topic?

Thanx in Advance
