since you have agreed with the forum's policy during registration, you do remember following lines for sure:
It's nice to start your post with a salutation, and include a signature as well.

No guideline I know of.
Generally blood loss comparable to a single bood donation (500 mL) in a 2-period study does not rise medical/ethical concerns. IMHO your planned design should not be problematic.
