ElF#... [Software]

My dear Ol Pirate :pirate:,

there is one caveat in recommending ElF#...
It was not under development since 2009.

The flaw we have discussed in this and following posts regarding brute force power estimation is still present :-(. Ok, ok, this is nitpicking, I know, because the settings under which the flaw becomes obvious have nothing to do with 'real life settings' we usually deal with in power calculations in BE studies. But IMHO confidence in software we are using comes not at least from how they behave in extremal cases.

Moreover: The normal power calculation give also power values for the designs "2x2x3" and "2x2x4". But they differ from the results of other software.
Example: CV=30%, n=10, T/R=0.95
        ElF#...    power.TOST()
          [%]
2x2x2     9.541     0.0954115
2x2x3    25.380     0.197127
2x2x4    43.940     0.4540607

Unfortunately ElF#... is not open source. Thus only you can check what's going on here.

Regards,

Detlew
