PDF specifications [Software]

Dear All,

As per PDF specifications guidlines Scanned documents should scanned with resolution of 300 dots per inch (dpi) but our scanner having pixels per inch (ppi) setting option which is having automated OCR option. we are thinking that it won't have any disadvantages and/or in file size if we are scanned with resolution setting of PPI.

Could you please suggest.
