Hello everyone,

I am doing work with biorelevant dissolution media and the literature indicates the use of dietary supplements like Ensure Plus (Abott) to simulate the gastric fed medium (FeSSGF).
Has anyone around here ever done dissolution trials with this supplement? Any tips for drug recovery / extraction?

We tested using acetonitrile for extraction, the tests with the raw material showed a good recovery of the drug, but when we did the dissolution test, the drug only appeared after 30 minutes. We still do not know if it was a matter of homogenization or if the formulation did not disintegrate.
