Intra subject CV consideration [Power / Sample Size]

Dear Rasheed,

I am getting confused with this.
My question is, suppose if we have CV% where Drug A with x dosage administered in tablet and capsule formulations from Study-1, and now if we are conducting a study (Study-2) with different design and with different dosage, say Study-2 is of food effect study with Drug A with y-dosage then can we use the CV% information from study-1 to evaluate the sample size for Study-2.
