Dear Detlew,

❝ If that is really correct (what I can't verify due to a walnut-sized brain) it deserves also a barnstar :ok:!

Plausible to me. When I compared zizou’s results for GMR 0.95, n 24, CV 0.1–0.3 (nsims=1E6) with our Captain’s I got:

muddle <- lm(EM ~ ZZ)
summary(muddle)

Call:
lm(formula = EM ~ ZZ)

Residuals:
         Min           1Q       Median           3Q          Max
-6.59137e-04 -1.53260e-04  1.32946e-05  1.70670e-04  4.07843e-04

Coefficients:

(Intercept) -0.000105163  0.000130353   -0.80676  0.42077
ZZ           0.999885384  0.000191368 5224.92810  < 2e-16 ***

Signif. codes:  0 ‘***’ 0.001 ‘**’ 0.01 ‘*’ 0.05 ‘.’ 0.1 ‘ ’ 1
