 comparative bioavailability [General Statistics]

Hi Helmut,

Can you please suggest when to use TOST (two one sided t-tests) for comparative bio availability in stead of a standard ANOVA approach using period, treatment, subjects as random effects? I was reading through
https://sphhp.buffalo.edu/content/dam/sphhp/biostatistics/Documents/techreports/UB-Biostatistics-TR1107.pdf
And also-
two one-sided tests” (TOST) proposed by Schuirmann (1987)

Hi Hiren,

❝ Hi Helmut,

All guidelines I’m aware of recommend a 100(1–2α) confidence interval – not TOST. See also this post and the linked references.
