Hi SMA,

THX for posting!

The Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel & Executive Meeting Center is sub-optimal, politely speaking.
Avoid “Atrium View” rooms (for the reduced rate of $ 209 excl. taxes; likely without breakfast) because some have no windows. Book a “City View” room instead. Arrive as early as possible (check-in starts at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time). In 2016 a friend arrived at 5 p.m. and was told “Sorry, we are booked out and have no available rooms.” She booked more than two months in advance… :-(

Strange that the conference will not take place at the hotel like in 2016 but at the USP–U.S. headquarters (12601 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, MD 20852-1790). Be prepared for a hike. If you prefer a taxi (4 minutes), good luck getting one. Forget public transport (10 minutes) – you would have to walk half of the distance anyway.
