No, the correct questions is since they have LaTeX template, why bother requiring $Word at all? TeX produce document with much better quality. :ok:

By the way, I have TeX Live installed and use TeXStudio as editor. It works great. I once send 12 pages pdf answering a regulatory question about multivariate statistical distance method for dissolution comparison with tufte-handout class with many side notes illustrations. Very "professional printout":-P TeX rocks!
