Dear Martin!

Hhm, I don’t know of any study dealing with ethnic differences in gastric pH (except Japanese). But it’s well known that vegetarians show significantly slower gastric motility than non-vegs (for an example see here). To my knowledge >95% of Gujarat’s population are vegetarians; did you exclude them from your study (like in most BE/BA protocols I have seen)?
